The redesign
A Nice workshop and its shop.
Émilie Ciais repairs, sells and buys back watches in Nice, and the site had to make room for each of these activities.
I rebuilt the site from scratch, in custom code. It’s connected to WatchCRM, the workshop’s management software, which I also designed.
Custom-built
Émilie runs her site herself.
Émilie adds her watches, changes prices and edits her pages herself, from an admin built around her business.
The data lives in an SQLite database: no database server to manage, and a backup is just a file to copy.
The code only does what the shop needs. When Émilie wants a new feature, I add it directly.
Search
A search that shows the watches.
Many visitors know what they’re looking for: a Rolex, a Submariner. From the first letters typed, search shows the watches, with photo and price.
Filters
Nearly 500 watches to filter.
With nearly 500 pieces, the filters had to be serious: price, brand, condition, gender. The button shows the number of results before you apply: you never land on an empty page.
On mobile, the filters are the same, tucked into a panel.
Product page
Condition and papers, right under the price.
For a pre-owned watch, condition, year, box and papers matter as much as the price. They sit right below it, before the buy and reserve buttons.
Mobile and performance
Above 90 on Lighthouse.
Every page was designed for phones too, catalog and repair requests included.
No CMS or plugins to load: pages stay light, on mobile and desktop alike.
Follow-up
Sales tracking and maintenance.
Every month, I check in GA4 where visitors drop off between the product page and checkout, and adjust accordingly.
I’ve also handled the site’s maintenance and new features since 2024.
